The Bound Brook, New Jersey, facility manufactures in accordance with ISO9001 standards and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), providing a full range of support services for the specialty chemical products market with focus on the pharmaceutical, medical products, cosmetic and commercial markets. Joe Beatty is Vice President & General Manager. He previously served in various executive management, sales, and operations roles in the specialty chemical industry. Before joining FAR, Joe was President, CEO, and Director of Xolve Inc. He served as Managing Director, North America for ColorMatrix Corporation and as Vice President, North America for MetoKote Corporation. He previously held various senior leadership positions with Hexion Specialty Chemicals and its predecessor companies (McWhorter Technologies, Eastman Chemical and Resolution Specialty Materials). Joe began his career in sales in the industrial water treatment industry with WR Grace – Dearborn Division, becoming vice president, sales and marketing. Joe has a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Alan Cramer leads the technology and quality groups at FAR Chemical and has been with the company since 2017. In this role he leads new process scale-up activities from lab process development to pilot scale implementation. His team also encompasses the Quality Assurance, Quality Control and analytical services groups. Prior to joining FAR Chemical, Dr. Cramer worked for Albemarle Corporation. Dr. Cramer earned his bachelor's degree Kennesaw State University and a doctorate degree in organometallic chemistry from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Don Morrison has served as the Commercial Director for FAR Chemical since late 2022. Over his 25+ years in the chemicals industry, Don has held various commercial, operations, and technology leadership roles with companies such as Union Carbide, Dow, WR Grace, Boulder Scientific Company, and MPD-Entegris. Dr. Morrison earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and an MBS from Colorado State University, and a doctorate in organometallic chemistry from the University of Arizona.
FAR is part of CPS Performance Materials, a diversified specialty chemicals manufacturer of performance polymers, fine chemicals, and chemical illumination solutions. In 2017, Arsenal Capital Partners created CPS as a new platform focused on specialty polymers and chemicals for high-value end markets, through the acquisition of Cyalume Technologies.
